Erica's Saucony Triumph 21 Review
Hi! It’s Erica, the friendly local, long-distance mother runner, and I’m back again, giving the lowdown on the newest Saucony update; The Triumph 21’s. I am usually a New Balance runner, but when Potomac River Running allowed me to try the Triumph 21s, who was I to say no? I had worn Triumph’s a few years ago, so I was eager to see what they had changed, and it’s no secret that we runners are obsessed with the latest shoes and gear out there to make the endless pursuit of summer running less terrible and more comfortable, right?
Okay, so let’s get to the fun part; the Triumph 21 comes in multiple fun colors at 8.8 oz with a 10 mm drop which means you’re in for a mid-level weight and super cushioned ride for those easy mid to long-distance runs. After my first initial runs in the Triumphs, my initial notes are the shoes were breathable for those hot days, the tongue of the shoe was pillowy, and my foot felt highly secure with the laced system.
What I will say to those that are diehard Triumph fans is that the small changes they have made aren’t enough to noticeable to make you fear you’ll need to be on the search for a new shoe, and to those that are looking for a great neutral, easy long run shoe this would be a great addition to your rotation that you should visit your local Potomac River Running store to snag.
