Q U I C K Q U E S T I O N S
What is your age race category? 20-29
What was your first race? The 600 meter dash for my summer track club in elementary school.
What is your favorite race memory? Becoming a conference champion in the 400 meter dash my junior year of college.
How did you get started running, walking, or racing? Summer Track club with my older brother at Shore AC in New Jersey.
What is the thing you love the most about running, walking, or racing? Trying to find that sweet spot between mentality and physicality. Running really encompasses everything.
Who is your biggest supporter or cheerleader? My wife for sure, she went to every meet and race.
What is your spirit animal? Why? Definitely a cat, nothing beats being able to lie back and enjoy life.
What is your life motto or words to live by? Slow and steady and attention to detail wins the race.
List three fun facts about yourself:
1) I'm part Japanese
2) I was a sprinter that liked Cross Country
3) I'm a huge nerd: Anime, Dungeons and Dragons, reading scientific journals for fun, you name it.

Your last run or walk was . . . Tiring and everyday of the week.
Your last race . . . Was the 2 mile course at Kernstown Battlefield at Shenandoah University.
If I wasn't running or walking I'd be . . . Hanging out on the couch (now with baby daughter)
My favorite post-run, walk, or race meal is . . . Something with chocolate
What advice do you have for a new runner or walker? Take it slow, if you burn yourself out in the first week it will only get tougher.
